What is id finder, ID Finder is an AI chatbot developed by Bakhita Eva to help students who have lost their school IDs recover them. It is part of a research project that focuses on addressing the recurrent issue of lost identification cards among students at JKUAT by developing and implementing an innovative AI chatbot system. What problem does id finder seek to solve, In JKUAT, the problem at hand is the huge challenge facing students when they misplace their identification cards and encounter problems in securing them mainly due to the absence of an efficient reporting and retrieval system to address this challenge. Background information indicates that the traditional process of reporting and retrieving lost identification cards is often cumbersome, time-consuming, and reliant on manual intervention. As a result, students often experience prolonged periods without their IDs, causing frustration, anxiety, and hampering their educational progress. With the loss of ID cards comes restricted access to crucial campus facilities like libraries, hostels and various campus transactions like the hospital services, recreational services, and financial transactions. This not only affects students' academic progress but also impacts their daily routines and social interactions. what solution does id finder provide/ offer, This research aims to develop an innovative AI-powered chatbot system designed to significantly enhance student services by streamlining the process of retrieving lost identification cards within the institution.
